Turtles achieve through our SWiM2 to SWiM4 stages.
Current SWiMmers can log in now to keep track of their progress.
It is hugely important to us that our skill sets are robust and each one is there to build on those before it, focusing our teachers on developing capable young swimmers with great technique!
Each stage comprises 10 skills altogether, with the main developmental aims outlined below:
Here children learn vital skills, which will make them safer and more confident in the water, ready to learn formal swimming strokes.
how to be happy with face in the water
how to take care of breath with face in
how to be comfortable & controlled floating on front
swimming 5 Metres
how to be comfortable with ears in the water
how to float on back
how to use hands well to help move through the water
swimming 10 Metres
how to use pointy toes & straight legs to move fast on back
how to be water safe - as well as swimming pool safe
swimming 25 Metres
Celebrating achievements as they happen is crucial to continued success! This is where our SWiMPortal really makes a difference...
A SWiMStage is achieved once each skill is mastered and performed confidently every time.
Our teachers update progress on poolside, and your Turtle's SWiMPortal shows all their current evaluations using a clear star system, enabling you and them to see how they are progressing at any point.
